ABOUT THE FSR

The Delegates' Assembly is the highest body in the Governance Structure of the FSR. It is composed of a delegate from each member Club and Regional Association. The FSR's Delegates' Assembly is divided into two separate meetings:

1. A sports assembly in the spring, aimed mainly at deciding on changes or improvements of the competitions for the next season.
    
2. A financial Assembly in the fall, with the purpose of voting on the federations' accounts and budgets, as well as conducting an election at the end of each mandate.

The Central Committee of the FSR is the Second highest body in the Federation's Governance Structure. The Delegates' Assembly delegates certain organizational and strategic responsibilities to the Central Committee. The Central Committee is composed of the following members:

• The FSR President
• The Vice-President(s)
• The Treasurer
• The General Secretary
• The Presidents of the Commissions
• The Representatives of the Regional Associations

The Commissions of the FSR are populated by volunteers from the various member clubs. The commissions have the main task and purpose of steering development in their own area, to advance Swiss Rugby accordingly.

The FSR's Commissions can be changed by its Central Committee, and can be created and merged or closed as needed.

The FSR currently has the following commissions:

• Competition Commission
• Kids' and Youth Rugby Commission
• 7s Rugby Commission
• Women's Rugby Commission
• Medical, Player Welfare, and Anti-Doping Commission
• Discipline Commission
• Referee Commission

The FSR's Backoffice is composed of a mix of porfessional Staff and contractors. Over the last 8 years, the federation has strived to structure its organizatiion in a more professional way, and to slowly professionalize, bit by bit, the various aspects of how the sport is managed and adminstered in Switzerland. The Backoffice currently has 7 paid staff, some full-time and some part-time, as well as a number of contractors.
